At the ceremony, Diaz-Canel emphasized Cuba's firm support for the positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran and expressed the country's readiness to expand trade relations with our country. The Cuban president also emphasized the importance of the two countries' solidarity in confronting a common enemy. Referring to the political relations and international cooperation between the two countries at the highest level, the new Iranian ambassador to Cuba also mentioned his plans to strengthen sustainable relations based on diversifying areas of cooperation, including in the economic, investment, scientific and cultural sectors, during his working mission.
